While they primarily frequent the coastline between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, we also explore the Pacific side.
What type of camera should I bring?
Taking photos of whales can be both exciting and intimidating. It's unlikely you'll time their jump perfectly, so a surefire way to capture these majestic creatures on your cell phone every time is to set your camera's settings to live mode (if you have an iOS) or take photo bursts. If you're equipped with more professional gear, pairing it with a telephoto lens like the 70-200mm is essential to capture the whales' scale and scope.
